about

This actually is the second Chains live ritual, Live in Club Gromka / Ljubljana / Slovenia 30.4.2015
today it`s the 5th anniversary of this dirty rotten and strange live, so i decided to release it.

Here you can hear some improvised, unreleased, and demo tracks.

By Ivan Cepanec / Drums ( Eruption, Dickless Tracy, Glista)

I remember that Saturday, a couple of years ago. I was interested to watch the one drone-doom blasphemy known as Chains and great Croatian tech-death brutality known as Muka. I arrived there way before and I was asking Etienne of Chains what rhythm machine would he be using for the show. He only laughed and answered: ''A metronome.'' Hell, couple of mins later I went to see the soundcheck and the dude was on the stage, testing the mike, the guitar fuzz and there was a small metronome behind him. That kind which you use for piano practice at home, for example.
Of course, you couldn't hear any metronome there, no matter the mike.
So, I asked him if he'd need a live drummer for the evening. He was interested so I asked him what kind of set would he perform. He answered that it just goes with the flow, from doom to everything is possible. I offered my service of being a session live drummer for Chains that night. He laughed, accepted and we hit the stage.
It was one of the best evenings of my life. I remember it was total 'go with the flow' impro - we just agreed that there'll be some Sabbath, some Electric Wizard, some Hellhammer etc.
I clearly remember: ''We'll probably change something every 4, 8, 16 etc. bars ...'' And we did. The concert was about 45 minutes long - one countinuous song with many 'intros', haha. I'm sad there is only 28 minutes captured but still ...
Thanks again, Etienne Von Chelleri of Chains (Official) for the opportunity and honour!
Check it out!
